Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, the seventh and largest
of the growing collection of popular Disney ownership properties, celebrated
its grand opening in May 2004.
The "health-history-horses" theme for the resort draws on the property's
many amenities and features which were inspired in large measure by its
namesake town in New York.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa lies just across the lake
from the magical metropolis of Downtown Disney. From its colorful Victorian
architecture to the influence of horse racing, this lakeside community
recaptures the heyday of upstate New York country retreats in the late
1800s. The resort features a full-service spa, a neighborhood eatery
and market, a spectacular rockwork theme pool with slide, recreation,
water-shuttle service to Downtown Disney and convenient access to Disney's
Lake Buena Vista golf course.
