Christmas Season

7 November 2011 to 8 January 2012

Main Street, U.S.A.

The enchantment of Christmas pervades the Disneyland Park with unforgettable, unique experiences to be shared with family and friends. For two months, Mickey Mouse and his friends don their best finery to welcome Santa Claus; the Christmas tree -- and snow -- arrives on Main Street, U.S.A.; and the roofs of Sleeping Beauty Castle sparkle with a myriad of twinkling lights.

This year, to make Christmas even more magical, Mickey and Minnie's new friend, Duffy, the Disney Bear, is coming to Disneyland Paris, too.

This year, a surprise awaits visitors. Duffy, the Disney Bear, will be arriving at Disneyland Paris for the Disney Enchanted Christmas! Duffy is not just any teddy bear -- he has been lovingly and affectionately crafted by Minnie especially for Mickey. As Mickey was preparing for a long sea voyage, Minnie thought he wouldn't be so lonely if he had a friend stowed away in his luggage. When Mickey saw the little bear, it was love at first sight and he decided to call him "Duffy". They travelled the world together, discovering new cultures. At the end of their travels, Mickey and Duffy shared their magical memories with Minnie. Duffy is a really soft teddy bear with gentle eyes -- and he is absolutely irresistible! Duffy is a cuddly little bear who just loves new adventures and making new friends.

Visitors will be able to meet him every day in the Disneyland Park. It's a unique opportunity for visitors to be able to say "I hugged Duffy!". Accompanied by Mickey, Duffy will be welcoming his new friends on Main Street, U.S.A., close to one of the shops where visitors will be able to adopt their very own Duffy and get one of the many costumes he's brought back from around the globe.

And since Disneyland Paris is planning a whole host of "magical moments", every day Duffy will also be taking part in Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade, as well as being guest of honour at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Main Street, U.S.A.

Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade

Every day, the Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade gives Disneyland Paris visitors the opportunity to experience once again the finest moments from Disney classics, right before their eyes, as if by magic. And from 7 November onwards, Duffy and Santa Claus will be VIP guests at Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade. Sitting on his colourful sleigh, Santa Claus will be bringing up the rear in this wonderful parade at which adults and children's dreams come true in the company of their favourite Disney Characters. Accompanied by Santa's Elves, they'll be bringing visitors all the magic of winter!

Santa Claus' Village

This year, Santa will once again be setting up his workshop at the heart of the Disneyland Park, through to 25 December 2011. Santa will be meeting adults and children to share a magical moment with them, while his Elves help him to get ready to deliver thousands of presents!

Children can post their wish list right up to 25 December 2011 in a letter box located at Santa Claus' Post Office, in Frontierland's Critter Corral. They'll be thrilled to get an answer from Santa -- delivered to their home a few weeks after their visit. Wishes come true thanks to this magical Christmas time with a special Disney touch.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Standing 24-metres tall, the majestic Christmas tree towers above Town Square. Its lights come on every evening during a magical ceremony conducted by Mickey and his friends. During this ceremony, a child will be chosen from the audience to light the Christmas tree -- and for the first time, Duffy will be there to help them.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Lighting Spectacular

From 7 November 2011 to 8 January 2012, a brand new "magical moment" awaits visitors in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, celebrating Christmas every day. As the Royal Court opens the ball, the three godmothers accompany Princess Aurora and Prince Philip as they enter, passing through a guard of honour. The princely couple waltz in the courtyard while the godmothers, distracted as ever, argue about the colour of the castle. They end up deciding to combine their power, and with a wave of their wands, transform the castle roofs into a shining myriad of lights. And in keeping with tradition, Princess Aurora makes her Christmas wishes, bringing this magical moment to a close.  It's an unmissable enchanted moment!
