THE ENCHANTED TIKI ROOM

The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management, to give it its full title, is the re-vamped version of the original audio animatronic Pacific island musical theatre show. It now stars two of Disney's most well known feathered characters, Aladdin's 'Iago' and The Lion Kings 'Zazu' as well as a cast of its former residents. Comedy and capers ensue as a boastful Iago suffers the wrath of the Tiki Goddess in a high tempo musical performance which features some familiar tunes.

The show closed in 1997 and re-opened in 1998 in its current guise as 'The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management' Features the songs 'Tiki Room' and a Revamped version of the Aladdin classic 'Friend Like Me' When this attraction debuted in WDW in Oct 1971, it was called the 'Tropical Serenade' and was sponsored by the Florida Citrus Growers. The Tiki gods that can be seen in and around the showroom are fashioned after the mythological Tiki gods of the Polynesian Islands - particularly Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, and the Cook Islands.
