Castway Cay Activities

Flying high above the island on a parasail adventure, snorkeling in a 12-acre lagoon, building sand castles on the beach, bouncing along on a banana boat ride or playing foosball in the shade are just a few of the activities that every member of the family can enjoy.

Mirroring the youth activities on the ship, children ages 3-17 will find programs and activities designed specifically for them on the island. Scuttle's Cove is the "hub" of youth activities on the island and features a dig site filled with artificial whale bones.

Family Beach

The family beach area is loaded with umbrellas to shield the sun, lounge chairs and hammocks, for a perfect day at the beach. In the lagoon, children will enjoy a water-based jungle gym complete with zip-lines to splash down into the sea.

Play supervised beach games, enjoy the music at the Gazebo or just relax in the sun.

Conveniently located near to the main amenities, including Cookies BBQ, boat rentals and the shops.

Serenity Bay

Located almost a mile from the main family beach, Serenity Bay is an exclusive, pristine stretch of beach for adults only. For the ultimate in relaxation, adults can enjoy a therapeutic massage at one of the nearby cabanas overlooking the ocean.

There is no need to head back to the main beach for lunch; a sensational lunch buffet is served at Serenity Bay and refreshments can be found at the Castaway Air Bar.

Teen Beach

Located just along from the Family Beach, and next to the sports beach, this small part of paradise has been reserved exculsively for the use of teens. Here they can sit back and relax in the sun, or play a game of volleyball or tetherball with new friends on Goofy's Sand Lot.

Scuttle's Cove

A special play area for kids aged 3-12 who have been registered at Oceaneer Club or Lab. Trained Disney counselors from the ship's daycare facilities supervise all activities, while parents go off to explore the island. Families can take part in a whale dig exploration at Monstro Point.

Grouper Pavilion

Here you can play basketball, ping pong, pool, shuffleboard, giant checkers, foosball — and even golf wiffle ball!

Characters

There are scheduled character greetings on the island, typically in the morning. Check out the schedule on the reverse of the Castaway Cay map you'll receive.

Rentals

Hire bicycles and explore the island, or rent a boat and sail out onto the clear blue waters. Paddle boats, kayaks, sea trikes and sailboats are all available to rent at the Boat Beach.

Snorkelling

Snorkelling equipment is available to rent at Gil's Fins and Boats next to the Boat Beach. Follow the course shown on the map and discover the hidden treasures of the ocean, including a submarine from Walt Disney World's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" ride.
