Behold the panoramic grandeur of Mazatlán — boasting craggy climbs and gentle sloping hills — during an approximate 40-minute, air-conditioned motor coach drive from the ship to the Hacienda Las Moras at the foot of the Sierra Madre mountains. Harkening back to an earlier time, the Hacienda Las Moras is an authentic 19th-century, 2,000-acre agave plantation that has been renovated to its original colonial-style glory. Upon your arrival, embark on a guided tour of the grounds — learning about the ranch's history from your guide — and explore the hacienda's historic white chapel nestled atop a ridge overlooking the property. Following your introduction, make your way to the stables and prepare for the next leg of your excursion: a relaxing horseback ride through Mexico's sprawling countryside.
Before beginning your ride, take in an informative safety demonstration and become acquainted with your horse for the afternoon adventure. Then, saddle up and begin your guided riding adventure through a tropical landscape, where shady trees mingle with towering mountain peaks. Revel in the unspoiled beauty as you breathe in the sweet fragrances and lose yourself to the serene natural environment that surrounds you everywhere you look. After your one-hour ride, sightsee amid the hacienda grounds on your own or make a splash in the resort pool. Bask in the sun on a cozy lawn chair and sip on a refreshing beverage. Finally, sit back and relax as you begin your hour-long trip — featuring a quick stop in Mazatlán's Golden Zone — back to the ship.

Hike to the Lighthouse
Hike to the historic El Faro lighthouse atop Mazatlán's highest hill and surrender to the unforgettable views.
Marvel at the magnificence of Mazatlán during a 10-minute, air-conditioned drive from the ship — past rocky bluffs and tranquil seaside coves — to the foot of Mazatlán's highest hill, El Creston. Upon your arrival, set your sights on the 19th-century El Faro lighthouse, which is hailed as the tallest operational lighthouse that sits atop a natural formation in the world, standing approximately 515 feet above sea level. Then, breathe in the fresh air and prepare for an adventure you're sure to never forget: a rigorous, hour-long hike to the top of the hill.
During your journey, marvel at the unspoiled tropical flora and fauna that surround you at every turn. Glimpse exotic varieties of cactus and flowers and be on the look-out for native birds and curious iguanas. Lose yourself to the sprawling views of the Pacific Ocean as you wind your way up to the top. Finally, reach the El Faro lighthouse at the peak of El Creston, and stand in awe before the sweeping views, which include the boat-filled bay, the city of Mazatlán, your Disney cruise ship and the miles upon miles of Mexican coastline to the north and south. Snap an up-close picture of the famous lighthouse and enjoy a refreshing drink during your 25-minute visit. Afterward, follow a shorter path down the hill and then sit back and relax as you embark on a 15-minute trip back to the ship, passing the historic downtown district — with an optional drop off and visit — along the way.

- The walking distance from the base to the top of the lighthouse is approximately 3,642 feet. In addition, Guests must ascend and descend 330 steps.
- Guests are encouraged to dress in casual clothing and wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes. For safety reasons, Guests are discouraged from wearing flip-flops or slippery sandals.
- Guests must be physically fit to take part in this excursion. For safety reasons, expectant mothers, Guests with heart and respiratory conditions and those with back/neck injuries may not participate.
- Guests choosing to stop in the historic downtown district at the conclusion of this excursion are responsible for securing private transportation back to the ship.
