Take a 25 minute ride in a comfortable coach into the city of Rostock. On your way you will be introduced to the area of your port of call whilst you perceive a first impression of Rostock's different districts in the wee hours of the morning.
Pass the university square with its playful fountain, revealing the secrets of the wealth of ideas in Rostock. Founded in 1419 the beautifully brick-red Alma Mater is the oldest university in the Baltic.
Enjoy a walk through the consecrated gardens of the Holy Cross Convent before making your way to the new market. View the oldest building that houses the town's library today, and enjoy an awe-inspiring inside visit of St. Mary's Church to listen to stories out of its history. Warnemunde and the Little Train

Begin your exploration of the port town with a walk along the banks of the estuary, past the yacht harbor to the historic market square. Note: This tour includes approximately 1.5 miles of walking at a steady pace, part of which will be on cobblestones and/or uphill. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Upon arrival, follow your guide into the Gothic Warnemunde Church, which will set the scene for an exclusive organ concert. Afterward, listen to stories out of the church's history.
Continue the walk along the Muehlenstrasse, "mill street," where you may admire the famous windmill that today houses a restaurant. Stop at a local seaside restaurant for some typical German delicacies along with beer and wine (non-alcoholic beverages available for all guests under 21 years of age and as an option for older guests).
Next, take a 30-minute ride through tiny cobbled streets and the promenade on the popular Choo Choo mini-train.
Have the option of staying in town for shopping or independent sightseeing or take the approximate 15-minute walk back to the ship.
