Puerto Vallarta Nature Excursions

Tropical Rainforest by Horseback

Take the road less traveled during a scenic horseback ride to a tropical rainforest.

Behold an unforgettable unspoiled panorama — where verdant sloping hills mingle with sweeping desert-like terrain — during an approximate 45-minute, air-conditioned motor coach drive from the pier to the small village of Las Palmas. Upon your arrival, meet your friendly guide and take in an informative safety demonstration before becoming acquainted with your very own horse for the day's adventure. Then, hop on top and begin your riding tour through the rich countryside of Mexico. Make your way through shallow riverbeds and sprawling orchards, and snap a picture of the lush flora and fauna that surrounds you at every turn.

After approximately 50 minutes of horseback riding, stop at a riverbank and embark on a nature hike through the jungle landscape. Make your way across picturesque suspension bridges and snap a picture of a 60-foot waterfall, where you're also invited to swim, sunbathe or simply soak up the spectacular scenery for 45-minutes. Then, mount your horse once again and lose yourself to the lush tropical landscape as you embark on a 50-minute journey back to the ranch for a hearty Mexican lunch. Afterward, explore the rustic ranch on your own or simply bask in the cool breezes from the comfort of a cozy hammock. Then, sit back and relax as you begin you 45-minute trip back to the ship.
