At Hong Kong Disneyland, guests will be welcomed by Mickey and his friends in an area called Fantasy Gardens, presented by Kodak.
Tucked neatly in the storybook surroundings of the theme park's Fantasyland, Fantasy Gardens is a charming, English garden-like setting that allows guests the opportunity to take home treasured memories of their visit.
Fantasy Gardens is exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and the most elaborate Disney character meet-and-greet location at any Disney theme park in the world. It brings to life the legacy of storytelling made famous by Walt Disney through his films, television shows and theme parks.
Favorite Disney characters -- including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Marie the cat, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip 'n' Dale, Mulan, Mushu, Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood -- shake hands, pose for photographs and sign autographs in five themed gazebos. A variety of characters will appear daily in Fantasy Gardens, each eager for pictures, hugs and handshakes with guests of all ages.
Each gazebo was created with a signature theme and architectural design. They are all surrounded by lush gardens blooming with brightly colored flowers, including a stream of blooms flowing beneath handsomely curved red bridge railings and beautifully arched footbridge. Fountains and sculpture set the fanciful mood for the whimsical area.
Fantasy Gardens also features innovative displays of colorful flowers and 27 topiaries in the shape of characters from Disney's 1940 classic animated feature film "Fantasia," dancing around the five gazebos where characters are always on hand.
